Hello!
I’m Christine Briggs (formerly Palethorpe) and my passion is to create and perform beautiful harp renditions of the modern songs you know and love. I’ve been working as a wedding harpist from Nottingham, East Midlands since 2014.
I believe that music, although sometimes an afterthought, is the heart and soul of a wedding. The harp is one of the most enchanting instruments to set the scene before the all important wedding vows.
I love to bring out the happy tears during the wedding ceremony and to soundtrack the reception with a surprising variety of music. My playlist includes fun and energetic modern hits and much loved classics.

I offer a selection of packages designed to be straight forward and to work around your wedding day. Choose between a combination of music for the ceremony, drinks reception and wedding breakfast or get in touch for a personalised harp package.

Over time I have built up a large library of videos to inspire you as you build your wedding day playlist.
Personalised
When you hire me for your wedding you can tailor your ceremony with your choice of music from my extensive playlist. Or if I don’t play your favourites yet you have the option to commission special requests to be arranged for harp for you. During the reception you can decide whether to build a personalised set list or to lean on my experience to select a variety of the most loved wedding music.

Please check my availability to see if I’m free to play for you! I generally play at 110+ weddings a year and many couples like to book far in advance. I can travel throughout the UK depending on the date but most often play harp in the East Midlands and surrounding areas including Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire and Staffordshire.
Availability
Please select your date and get in touch. If I’m unavailable I can save your details in case of cancellation. Most of my bookings are afternoon events so it might be possible for me to also make an early morning or evening event.
